About the Windrush Exhibition - Telford & Wrekin
The team at the Windrush Exhibition would like to honour the residents who arrived in the UK between 1948 and 1971 (first generation Windrush) and settled in Telford and Wrekin. They ask willing participants to provide around 2 or 3 photographs, and a brief paragraph to include where they came from, settled in Telford and some optional information about work/homelife.
From the information and copies of the photographs provided, the team exhibit an enlarged version of these photographs, and information which will be displayed around 4 to 5 prominent locations in the Telford area during Black History Month.
By inviting the Telford Windrush generation to participate in this exhibition, the aim is to honour the memory of this courageous group of people who paved the way for us and have left a legacy for our future generations.

About the project
We worked with the Windrush Exhibition Team to produce an engaging brochure style portfolio website which would give a feel for the style and nature of the live exhibition.
The branding needed to be colourful, celebrating the Windrush Generation and reflecting the essence and ethos of the event.
We created a categorised gallery which allowed the team to upload and manage contributions. The website also features a bespoke form which enables people to upload and submit their photographs and information for consideration to the exhibition.
The website has a full content management system allowing the team to update the online galleries and content, as the event grows and evolves each year.
